Music! We release you

Slower Faster was initially launched to support new album releases by The Deltahorse, a band whose members all live on different continents and create music solely through file swapping. Now our consultation services are available to you as well.

Rent a record company

Need support for your own album release? We’ve gone through the complex and time-consuming process of releasing and promoting music ourselves. Being a boutique indie record label ware committed to helping artists pick the most efficient route for their own album release.

Our consultation services

While music industry, as we used to know it, fades a bit more every day new promising options and services arise literally every day, making it difficult for artists to look through. Never has it been easier to thrive in the new music industry and expose yourself, but not all services out there work for any artists. In fact, some of them don’t pay off. We used to burn our own budget on some of them. As a result we came up with the idea of offering individual, no-nonsense consultation tiers for you to pick from and to prevent you from making wrong decisions. Transparency is what we pride ourselves in. The services we offer to DIY artists target your needs and can work for you even if you are on a tight budget.

Fundraising is crucial for maximizing budget. It’s time consuming work but launching your own camapign should be no. 1 priority on your way to releasing an album. We’re here to guide you throughout the pros and cons.

Music crowdfunding works differently to all other fundraising. It follows its own rules and requires a good strategy prior to campaign start. Together we will develop your personal strategy and guide you throughout the campaign to secure you’re reaching your goal.

Press Kit

Every artist has a story but not every story is worth to be told. Media partners don’t waste time. True! Now the good thing is that they all love a good story, so it all starts with the EPK. Let’s make it easy on your upcoming partners to click on press play.

Let us help you make your story stronger. We will work out and around what makes you stand out as an artist to secure your biography read is intriguing. Should “No story, no glory.” apply we can get in touch with professional writers (at additional costs) for best results.

Your music is ready for the world to embrace. Alas, apart from flooding inboxes of music bloggers with your emails you don’t know how to promote it? Blasting out physical copies to stations isn’t the best idea ever to get your music up on radio?

We will discuss with you all publicity options–print, online and radio. Not every option is suitable for your release, together we will work out the best strategy and recommend the right partners for pitching your music to media. While we’re offering radio promotion to commercial radio only in Germany we can introduce you to our partners for publicity services and radio promotion in USA and Canada.

Don’t worry about the dozens of digital distribution and streaming services. They do vary in pricing structure and service but we will analyze your needs and with regards to your fan base recommend the best solution. If you want us to handle all things digital distribution for you to focus on music we can also provide ISRC for your tracks and UPC for your album. Geography can be a strange thing. It can divide us physically while still allowing people to come together in other ways. But what happens when a band whose three members all live on different continents attempt to construct music solely through file swapping? For The Deltahorse, this idea of geography and its effects on music are easily turned toward the realization of the band’s own creative impulses.

To be released on September 16, 2016. College radio promotion in USA and Canada by Team Clermont.

    Press impressions

“There’s always a certain risk of one-shots not working out, but the Deltahorse aren’t looking for easy answers, just the questions that burn. Consequently, “Call It a Day” turned out raw, plain, spirited and with a sense of humor—the surprise is there’s no surprise in here.” – Elmore Magazine, USA

Do you sign new artists?

We don’t. As of yet we are a boutique indie label and we don’t sign artists the way we all know it from the old music industry business model. Think consultants who will point you into the right direction and supply all information needed so you can make the right choices and decisions for yourself. If you plan on booking our Digital Distribution tier, which to a certain degree represents a modern signing deal, we could work something out. Please keep in mind that you would have to cover all costs for publicity and promotion services by yourself.

What does Crowdfunding Tier contain?

In our first session via Skype we will reveal why music crowdfunding works differently compared to other fundraisers and what you are supposed to do. We will need to define set your target goal and minimize failure risk so we will have to do some research on your project afterwards. Developing your personal strategy will be agenda for Skype session no.2. Lastly, we will chime in a couple of days before campaign’s ending to secure you’re going to reach your target goal.

How much does hiring a pro writer for my bio cost?

We are working with professional music journalists who are writing album reviews and biographies on a daily basis. Before they can even start writing an introduction to your bio they will be listening to your music to spin a story. They like receiving somewhat around $100 to $150 for a bio containing up to 3800 characters. And it pays off.

I am considering booking the Radio Promotion Tier. Can you guarantee my music will be played in Germany?

No one can guarantee your music will be played on commercial German radio. While in USA and Canada radio promotion means sending out physical copies to radio stations generating shipping costs, it’s way cheaper to promote music to German radio, so we charge only a fraction of the costs. We use digital delivery service called Musik Promotion Network to promote your music. We can monitor all plays, all stations through MusicDNA services and will report to you.

How do I know consultation pays off?

We believe our service is of great value for all DIY artists and consider our pricing structure to be fair. It took us loads of time, money, blood sweat and tears to gather all those bits and pieces that will help you drive on the right route. Like everyone else in the industry we like to receive in$piration for our work and know-how. Getting paid is what allows us to continue. Watching you rise and benefit from our service is what motivates us.

Does your service contain publicity and promotion?

For booking of full-service promotion and publicity services with proactive followup we can introduce you to partners we work with, and recommend.
